About Holly Van Hart

Photo of Holly Van Hart

I was raised in New York city in an artistic family (my Mom is an oil painter) and always loved creating art.  Eight years ago painting became my passion, and now I am a full-time artist.

I started exhibiting and selling my work in 2006, and won my first award at the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society Annual Exhibit in 2007.   My paintings can now be found in the homes of collectors throughout North America and in Europe.

I like creating vibrant paintings that reflect my fascination with life and its many complexities.  I am now working on three series of abstracts in oils called Cityscapes, Oceanscapes, and Forest Light.  Previous series were created with watercolor on paper.

Please enjoy looking at my online gallery, and don't hesitate to email me with questions or comments at holly@hollyvanhart.com .  I update this site frequently, so please come back again soon.

For stories behind the paintings and some insights into my painting process, I also invite you to visit my blog, http://hollyvanhart.blogspot.com.
